Who is "Panda" Ryan Shookman…
Well I feel as if I am a vessel for energy and love through the sounds of our hearts. I began playing the piano under the inspiration of my mother. From being a child, laying under the piano listening to her, to taking my first lesson, I have always loved music. I began taking piano seriously as I wanted to understand and play as much music as possible. As a beginner, I remember attempting to learn some of my mother’s repertoire; however, I was not quite there YET so needed to learn more. I gave baseball a shot…for 20 minutes and soccer…for maybe 5…just was not my thing.
Music however was. I began competing and performing as soon as I was able to. I recall spending the night at my teacher’s house on a Friday night to last-minute memorize a piece for Saturday’s competition. As time progressed, I loved performing wherever and whenever I was able to. I felt the emotion behind every single note and could not get enough of it.
Fast forward…I continued studying with amazing professors all over the world in extremely intense environments. This brought opportunities to perform on amazing stages and venues in multiple countries. To see the world and experience life while bringing music to ears is phenomenal.
So, who am I? I am “Panda” Ryan Shookman…a lover of life, people, and music and I am so honored to be able to educate, share, heal, and experience through my heart, into my hands, and to yours…
Hugs!!
